Hundreds of Delphi developers switch to AvalonUI for iOS and Android
AvalonUI is a C# Cross-platform solution often ignored by Delphi blow-hards.
From rumor mill:
Actually hundreds have switched just in my country. I am in contact with about 30 devs, past colegues which goes to another companies. All of them were Delphi devs. None of them doing Delphi anymore. Which is unfortunately but this is the case.
Most Delphi developers disregard C#. They don't see C# Cross-platform as viable solution.
Delphi developers should consider Avalon.
Multiplatform XAML/C# Miracle Package: Avalonia.
And another quote from the rumor mill:
"They are still having issue releasing the version for Android before the (deadline) set by Google. Currently the deadline for the all apps targeted below API 33 is set for 30 October 2023, and we have nothing to compile with against this target version.
Last time they released proper compiler 7 months after the deadline, resulting hundred of companies to switch from Delphi to .NET for their mobiles, and right now the things doesn't looks different.
Actually hundreds have switched just in my country. I am in contact with about 30 (developers), past colleagues which goes to another companies. All of them were Delphi devs. None of them doing Delphi anymore.
Which is unfortunately but this is the case.
Have you seen any Delphi cross-platform apps with single-source code for iOS, Android, Web, OSX and Windows lately?
There's glowing review of Avalonia on CodeProject.
From AvalonUI’s platform chart you can see Delphi doesn’t have the reach of AvalonUI. Is there a Delphi for WASM?
Delphi is expensive for mobile development.
Are there official FB, Google login demo that works on mobile?
Are there official implementations of AdMob or other Ad interstitials?
Are there official implementations of popular SDKs, like mobile joysticks, camera that are free and part of Delphi?
