ESBPCS products no longer for sale

An Australian Business stops their VCL offerings.

ESB Consultancy had a long run. Their business started 20 years ago, during the Delphi v1 days. This year marks an end to their Delphi business.

It is with sadness that we have discontinued sales of our ESB Calculators / ESBPCS for Delphi / ESBPDF Analysis / ESBStats, but will still offer maintenance-level support for customers. Sales have not been great over the last few years, and Glenn has moved on to full time work elsewhere. He had hoped to be able to continue development in his spare time but that just has not been the case over the last 6+ months. So, the costs of renewing the various software licenses, etc is prohibitive.

We are very grateful to our customer base of both our commercial software and our freeware.

ESB Consultancy work in areas such as Customised Training and Customised Spreadsheets, is still going strong. ¹

One reason why it failed, was, the ease of unpacking setup files, by a product called Innounp². ESBConsult has a page, now removed, where anyone can download licensed versions and then use Innounp to extract licensed files. So much for honesty.

Previously, they did website hosting for Addictive Dictionary, whose website is now off-line.

I made new Delphi friend fiend4life

Many Delphi developers hungry for likes would upload ESBPCS setup files, along with the setup password to various sites.

Then, various sites would offer full version of ESBPCS files for a small fee, paid via bitcoin.

If you attempt to download such files - “The usuals continue: [username] continues his financial fraud by patching software [to turn on the webcam for extortion], or [download ransomware] or steal the bank account login and other financial details of innocent trusting users who use his “cracked apps””³

If you try to take down such files by sending a DMCA notice, you get stalker-friends who stalks, harass and posts rubbish for years on end and laughs at you when your “official” site goes down.
