Telling the truth will get you fired
If you tell the truth about Delphi, you'll get banned, shunned, or your reputation intentionally ruined. MVPs get demoted.
These are real stories, not some garnished candy or lies fed to you. I will try to make these stories palatable.
Fates #1, #2 - Expensive Car
Suppose Bob buys a car. The car manufacturer “E”, claims the “D” Brand car, runs at 4600 mph. The manufacturer “E” says it allows you to drive on mobile terrains, desktop terrains without having to switch or buy another car, and it’s updated, full of features.
Bob brings D car home. He’s happy. The first few days, Bob felt good. Then, a Java-car zooms by. Bob looks in awe and wonders what passed by? Bob ignores it.
A week later, Bob goes for a long development trip, and wonders why his car is slow… “E” tells Bob, buy a profiler, optimize his driving so the car takes less time…
Problem starts to mount
After some time, many tweaks, optimizations, Bob still finds the Java-car still zooms by. Bob is so used to driving in his Delphi car, he wonders if getting a Java car will suit him…
When Bob asks other drivers if they have the same problems, about “D” brand cars, Bob is mercilessly mocked, called a “crackhead”, smoking crack and other bullshit. This is public slander, libel and defamation.
Bob feels very bad within. Other drivers don’t dare approach Bob for fear of being ridiculed, or publicly made fun of…
Then, employees, vendors, car representatives affiliated with car manufacturer “E” would use anonymous VPN or names to mock Bob, and his friends. This doesn't happen in the Java, QT or Unity forums. It does happen in dBase, Paradox newsgroups.
Honest Car Representative
When Bob asks the car representative “MVP” Alice some questions, the car representative, not wanting to rip the customer off, tells the truth - the car is very expensive (Anyone here find that funny?). Later on, another MVP tells privately the car’s maximum speed is 60% less, has poor performance on Mobile, and many issues have not been fixed since 10 or I dare say - 20 years ago...
When car manufacturer “E” finds out about this, the car rep. Alice is promptly fired. Would you want to work in such an environment?
Fate #3 - Poor Safety Record
Next let me talk about safety. Have you heard of Boeing - that airline company who assembles planes as fast as possible - their planes, due to no fault of the pilot, fatally crashes?
Suppose the Car representative James reports a security flaw - for free - most hackers find bugs for money. James finds nothing happens. James complains that no action was taken… and gets fired.
Have you seen any publicly available websites made with Delphi, lately? Suppose you build a website, and it gets ransomware on it, or hacked without your knowledge. There are thousands of records of personal data that were leaked.
Whose fault? Fingers point that it’s your fault, the result of your poor coding practices, not the vendor’s fault…

Why are Delphi’s competitors not considered expensive?
As an example, QT is not expensive as their customers can inspect code and there are more bug-fixes in QT than in Delphi per year. QT is very fast, and free from bugs.
The community is different. Why don’t you try posting slanderous accusations there? That’s probably why TeamB aren’t there.
I’m sure Delphi developers will look up and down to find faults in QT, while anyone talking about cross-Kylix (QT-enabled Delphi) gets disbarred.
If you’re fired for telling the truth, then, you probably what happened to Delphi’s community. Nobody wants to talk about Delphi, for fear of vilification and unwanted personal attacks, or saying something that would get them shunned or ostracized.
